The New South Wales government has announced extensive road works to take place next week on Braidwood Road at Goulburn.
Member for Goulburn, Pru Goward, said the project was designed to improve motorists’ safety and upgrade vital infrastructure.
“Work will involve gravel and sealing work to provide a safer road surface for all road users,” Goward said.
“Palerang Council will complete the work on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services.”
Goward said the State government has already allocated $1.3 million towards the resealing of Braidwood Road.
Lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be put in place for the duration of the project.
“The work is part of Roads and Maritime’s commitment to delivering safe efficient and high quality services for the Goulburn community,” she said.
Electronic message signs will be placed along the road to provide up-to-date information on any potential changes to work dates and times.
Work will be carried out until June 2016.
