An Expression of Interest is now open for the design and construction a new car park at Marayong Station.
Member for Riverstone, Kevin Conolly, made the announcement today for the new commuter facility.
“This is great news for the local community and means we are one step closer to more available commuter car parking at Marayong Station,” Conolly said.
“We know that availability of parking is an issue for commuters and this project is further evidence that this government is determined to make a difference.”
The car park will include more than 70 new commuter spaces, fencing, lighting and CCTV to boost security.
The car park is being delivered as part of the NSW government’s Transport Access Program.
“The new car park at Marayong Station will make catching public transport a more attractive option,” he said.
“We know that there’s plenty more work to do but we are getting on with the job in the best way we know how which is delivering more and more projects for the people of NSW.”
Western Sydney will also be receiving a $150 million investment to upgrade six key Western Sydney stations.
“Since the Transport Access Program began in April 2012, more than 450 projects are underway or have been completed,” he said.
