Work will start later this month on the third stage of upgrades along the Mid-Western Highway to improve commuter safety.
An estimated $2 million has been allocated to the project by the NSW Government in a bid to improve road conditions the Maritime Services spokesperson said.
“Work will include widening of road shoulders and repairs to the road surface.
“A reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place during work hours to ensure the safety of road users and workers.
The Mid-Western Highway located in Central NSW services rural communities between Sydney and Adelaide.
“Work is expected to be completed in October, weather permitting,” the spokesperson said.
