Minister for Planning, Rob Stokes, has announced plans for an exciting new metropolitan community in Sydney’s Northwest.
The NSW Government is dubbing the project The Riverstone East Precinct with vision to support 5,800 new dwellings, 20 hectares of open space as well as improved access to public transport via extension of existing train lines.
The new infrastructure expected to benefit the already 15,890 people currently living within Riverstone East.
“Riverstone East will reap the rewards of new road upgrades and Australia’s largest public transport project, the Sydney Metro Northwest,” Mr Stokes said.
“These plans help paint the picture of how this area will become a vibrant suburb with a variety of housing choices, new shops, restaurants and cafes to enjoy.”
The precinct is part of the Blacktown City Council and draft plans for the first phases of urban development of the Precinct are now on public exhibition.
Kevin Conolly, Member for Riverstone, claimed the precinct would become a wonderful new community.
“This new community will be a terrific place to live with the facilities and infrastructure people need and deserve,” Mr Conolly said.
