More than 10,300 new homes for 30,000 people have been fast-tracked in a major new growth precinct in Sydney’s North West where the NSW Government is harnessing the power of the private sector to deliver $170 million in infrastructure.
Planning and Infrastructure Minister Brad Hazzard said the NSW Government had approved the rezoning of a major land release area at Marsden Park.
“Marsden Park will also generate more than 3,000 jobs in a new town centre and two village centres,” Mr Hazzard said.
The developers, Stockland and Winten will be responsible for major Richmond Rd works – including widening it for 1km – provide land for three new schools and pay for sewer, electricity and water infrastructure.
“This has helped bring forward the rezoning more than three years ahead of schedule, with the first home and land packages reaching the market next year,” Mr Hazzard said.

“Under this Government the public and private sectors are working together in partnership,” Mr Hazzard said.
“Today’s rezoning follows from an extensive consultation program with Council, landowners and residents – a hallmark of the new planning system which will deliver more homes, jobs and certainty to NSW residents,” Mr Hazzard said.
