Members of the public are invited to have their say on options to address the impact of the railway crossing at the New England Highway and Kelly Street at Scone.
Federal Member for Hunter, Joel Fitzgibbon, encouraged the community to make the most of the opportunity to comment.
“The public can now make their thoughts known on the five options derived from investigations undertaken and stakeholder consultation. All feedback will be considered in a value management workshop which will inform a decision on the preferred route option.”
“The sessions are informal and the community is welcome to attend at any time during the session. The team will take feedback and answer any questions,” said Mr Fitzgibbon.
“The value management workshop will be held on Tuesday 11 December with the project team, council, government agencies, other key stakeholders.
“Participants will assess the five route options based on the outcomes of the technical and environmental investigations and the issues raised in the submissions received.
“Members of the community are invited to nominate themselves to attend, and have until COB Friday 30 November to do so. Written submissions also close at COB on this date,” said Mr Fitzgibbon.
